Many holistic professionals have it backward. They make the mistake of creating health offerings around their modalities rather than giving enough people what they want.
This is a common misconception. Many practitioners see themselves as healers and feel like they need to offer healing before anything else. But in reality, most people are looking for solutions when they come to a practitioner. This is why it’s important to create offerings that meet your clients’ needs first and foremost.
So how can you come up with a holistic offering your audience actually wants and is willing to pay for?
You start by working with something I like to call the

5 Questions For Viral Program Creation
1. Does your program idea solve a specific problem, need or desire for your client?
In other words, what’s the tangible benefit or crystal clear outcome that your program will deliver?
It is important to know what your program idea is solving for the user. You need to be solving a specific problem, need or desire for the user. Otherwise it’s going to be hard to convince them that your idea will help them in any way.
2. Is your course idea focused on helping a specific type of person?
When you want to laser in on your target audience, you need to understand what they look like and their interests.
The best way to do that is by asking them!
Conduct a survey or poll with your target audience. What are their likes and dislikes? What are their hopes and dreams? What’s the one thing they would change about themselves if they could?
If you know what your audience wants, it will be easier for you to create content that appeals to them.
AND (and this critical) — you need to be sure there are enough people in your audience for your course to be profitable, year after year.
Pro Tip: A good rule of thumb is that there are more than 10,000 people who can easily be reached through your marketing who want what you do.
If not, you’ll hit a ceiling you just can’t seem to break. It’s very difficult for viral program creation when there isn’t enough people to purchase it.
3. Do they want help with their problem (and are they willing and able to invest in your program)?
People will always indicate that they are ready for change…until it’s time to put their money where their mouth is…but if they open their wallets…you know you have put together a solution they desire.
I recommend that you “Beta Test” your program idea first before putting excessive time, energy and money into a larger program build.
Set yourself a minimum number of client sales, do a 1:1 call with them to get feedback so that you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you are on the right track.
4. Do you know where your ideal clients are?
Take some time to brainstorm all the different spots that your clients hang out.
We are talking facebook groups, forums, meet up groups…or using other people’s services that compliment your offerings.
Block some time into your calendar to do this research.
This delicious nugget will assist you when it’s time to launch so that you are in the right spot for getting those eyeballs on your offering that’s looking for the solution you are offering.
5. Can you assist your client transform AND love providing that transformation at the same time?
In order for this to be a big “YES” for you, you need to be saying “yes” to all of the questions listed out here…otherwise it’s not going to be fun at all.
